Shadow was our handsome boy, he belonged to my Mum and then came to visit for the weekend back on
February 14th 1998, he went home a few days later and cried all the time, so we brought him back and
that was that, he was our handsome boy for 11 years and 2 weeks. Shadow was aptly named, he
followed me everywhere, even to the bathroom, he would lie outside and wait for me. When Shadow was
about 2 we realised that he was not completely 100%, he wouldn't chase a ball or play with toys so
we took him to the vet and he was diagnosed with neurological problems. This of course made him
more special to us and we realised this was the reason that he followed us everywhere, we were his
safety net so to speak. Latterly he got dementia and the only thing he didn't forget was that he
got hungry and were the biscuit cupboard was, if you said the word biscuit he was as sharp as a
knife. We took the painful decision to take him to the vet for the last time, but before we did we
spoiled him rotten for a few days and today we took him a good walk, gave him a really good dinner
and a Jumbone, his favourite.
Sleep well my boy and wait for us at the Rainbow Bridge, say hi to Sasha, Poppy and Junior for us
and I know they will look after you. Love and miss you so much already.

Hi Shadow my handsome boy, your Dad made me up a lovely DVD yesterday and I watched it last night, you were only 2 years old and it was when we took you and your sister Cassie to Cullen on our honeymoon. You both ran around so much, played in the sea and jumped in and out of the river so many times, it was great to see you young and healthy. I will remember and love you always and forever.

Wishing you a very Happy Birthday, you are 12 today and I hope you are having the biggest party ever at Rainbow Bridge. We are thinking of you today with fondest memories and will have a Jam Swiss Roll later with some skooshy cream, your favourite.
